LANCE ARMSTRONG
the hero against all odds
this is the story of a man,a brave man that overcame odds faced by many people worldwide,cancer.Lance was Born on September 18, 1971 in Plano Texas Lance was raised by protective parents.Lance had a strong bond with his mother,they were inseperable,she helped him through many difficult times.

He had quite a few noticable achievements during his younger years.At the age of 16, he won the United States Junior Triathlon title,a two-time Olympian, a multiple Tour de France winner and,most of all a victory in the United States Amateur Cycling championship
lBy 1996, Lance was ranked the number one cyclist in the world.


Tragedy struck Lance when he was just four months shy of his 25th birthday, he suffered from dizziness, blurred vision and abdominal pain.Tests revealed that he had advanced testicular cancer which had spread to his lungs and his brain Lance had to undergo four rounds of intense chemotherapy.

He eventually had surgery,and,by a stroke of sheer luck he came out of surgery alive!.to doctors and the surgeons who performed it,it was considered a miracle the he survive.the following weeks of chemotherapy was a toture for lanceas he struggled in and out of the hospital,wondering if his carrer was done for.

Eventually he went back to his career as a cyclist, even participating in the toure de france
he has qualities that most of us should show, especially perserverance.
