The modern world is an electrified world. The light bulb, in particular, profoundly changed human existence by illuminating the night and making it hospitable to a wide range of human activity. The electric light, one of the everyday conveniences that most affects our lives, was invented in 1879 by Thomas Alva Edison. He was neither the first nor the only person trying to invent an incandescent light bulb.
The world would be a totally different place without the invention of the light bulb.No night classes,no computer and no driving on the roads at night. The light bulb was not created by chance but by trial and error.Thomas Alva Edison to months and years to find the correct filament to be place in the light bulb which was strong and durable enough to give off light and not fuse off that quickly.whan asked about his failures,he replied,"I did not fail,i found 1000 ways how not to make a light bulb but 1 way to make it work."
This moment, this event, had changed lives around the world, people would be blind at night without candles.Children could study better,Adults could work better.Even in todays recent event, example the 2004 Tsunami and hurricane Katrina, recue efforts would have been hopeless without light as crucial time is lost if they had to wait till sunrise or areas where rubble blocks all light.
